Masking Policy (As of October 2025)
Please review the following updated masking policy at Zócalo Wellness. As always, we strive to meet the diverse needs of our clientele and practitioners to the best of our ability.
- We will continue to provide a mask at the door, free of charge to anyone who enters the Zócalo Wellness office and does not have one handy for themselves.
- To the extent possible, and within reason, we ask that all individuals wear a mask in common public areas while visiting Zócalo Wellness. Examples of when this may not be possible include when masks create impediments to language translation; or when visitors, patients or members of the Zócalo team have medical conditions or process sensory information in ways that make continuous masking difficult or harmful to health.
- Masking is still encouraged in treatment rooms but not required for clients or practitioners. Additionally, practitioners may be unmasked in the provider break area for eating and health reasons. Please discuss with your practitioner any needs or preferences for you and your practitioner regarding wearing masks in treatment rooms.
- As always, rooms will continue to be changed over and standard acupuncture protocols for cleanliness and sanitation followed for every treatment and between treatments, as well as at the beginning and end of each day, or shift. HEPA filters with microbe-filtering capabilities are located in every treatment room and the public waiting area. Additional sanitation protocols may be added as new information and tools become available.
- We ask that all clients contact us as soon as possible to cancel or change your appointment if you are symptomatic with something that may be airborne and/or contagious. Thank you to all who have and continue to do so.
